Dexter Benard Brown last posted to his Thugbook page on 5 September. We wonder if he got swept up in the firestorm at Lee Correctional. Hey, Dexter, you can thank Tyheem Henry for that.
We decided to go ahead and run a post on Brown today, not to keep sniping at Lee Correctional or SCDC, but because this guy is a complete freakin' idiot and it's funny to listen to this supposedly tough Gangster Disciples gang member whine and cry.

Brown went to trial in May of 2011 for shooting at a car full of people in Barnwell county. The jury spent about four hours in deliberations and found him guilty of two counts of Attempted Murder and one count of Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime. Judge Edgar W. Dickson then sentenced Brown to 30 years on each of the attempted murder charges and five years on the weapons charge. The sentences were set to run concurrently, which amounted to a total sentence of 35 years.
As Brown was being led from the courtroom the Judge overheard him threaten the deputies handling the transport. Judge Dickson brought Brown back into the courtroom where Brown claimed he said, "I didn't get a life sentence. I'll be back."
Judge Dickson didn't like that very much, so he changed the attempted murder charges to run consecutively. Now Brown should be locked up for 65 years. Way to go, moron!! Props to Judge Dickson for handling that situation properly.
Unfortunately Judge Dickson apparently lost his balls a short time later and reconsidered. He changed things back to have the sentences run concurrent. Hey Judge, it only takes one "aw shit" to kill all of those "attaboys".
Brown hit the prison system on 13 May, 2011 and was ensconced behind the walls of Lee Correctional Institution. He started posting to his Thugbook account from his cell on 15 December.
